Claude Certified Architect – Foundations: Independent Exam Prep podcast cover

Three decisions to work through.

Listen, make a few notes, then explain the choice in your own words.

  1. Episode 01

A useful result can still be incomplete

    Duration:

A useful answer can still leave a task unfinished. In a fictional HarborWorks case, separate response and tool status from task completion, retain partial evidence, and decide when to recover, clarify or hand off.

    Practice the decision

Your artifact: A recovery table with retained evidence, missing work, and a bounded next step.

What justifies ending the run, and what must stay visible if the missing source cannot be recovered?

  2. Episode 02

Give a specialist a complete assignment

    Duration:

Two checks can run in parallel and still need careful integration. Use a fictional policy-and-application request to choose predefined work or adaptive assignments, then write a clear delegation brief with evidence, boundaries and return expectations.

    Practice the decision

Your artifact: A delegation brief with attributed context, permitted tools, return contracts, and an integration check.

Which checks can start independently, and what would a specialist misunderstand without an explicit context packet?

  3. Episode 03

    Make the tool choice understandable

    Duration:

Replace a vague tool catalog with clear contracts for knowledge search, service lookup and ticket drafts. A fictional printer-service request shows how inputs, returned evidence and role scope guide selection—and why a forced call does not establish success or authority.

    Practice the decision

Your artifact: A responsibility table with specific inputs, returned evidence, and a justified invocation policy.

What observable distinction makes the correct tool clear, and when is requiring a particular lookup justified?
