Your privacy.
AI with JT is a personal education project operated by Justin Thompson. Contact justin@aiwithjt.com with privacy or deletion requests.
Accounts and newsletters
We use your verified email address to identify your account and manage newsletter access. Microsoft Entra External ID verifies email sign-in; Google verifies Google sign-in. We request only the information needed to identify you, never access to your Gmail inbox. Azure storage holds account identifiers, expiring sessions, and a record of your newsletter consent. MailerLite manages newsletter delivery and subscription status. Vercel hosts the website.
I’ll never sell your information. The newsletter contains useful emails about AI and building ideas, at most once a week. Sign-in codes and essential account messages are separate from the newsletter.
Access and choices
Creating a free account includes newsletter signup, as explained beside the signup buttons. We record your choice and subscribe your verified email after authentication. Full access requires an active newsletter subscription. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery and pauses access. The returning-reader Sign in flow does not restart your newsletter. To resume, explicitly subscribe again or use the signup form with its newsletter notice.
Your private profile
Your optional name, profile photo, and city or region are visible only to you and Justin. Location helps Justin plan future local gatherings, starting in Atlanta. We do not request your precise location or a street address. Google can supply your name and photo when you sign in; manual changes are preserved. Uploaded photos are resized and metadata is removed before storage. Google profile images load from Google when displayed. You can edit or clear these fields from your account page, even when library access is paused.
Events interest
If you tell us you’re interested in in-person events, we save your answers with your account: Atlanta or another city, preferred neighborhoods, days and times, experience level, and an optional note about what you want to learn. For Atlanta interest, your email joins the “AI with JT Atlanta Events” group in MailerLite and those answers are saved there, so Justin can plan get-togethers and email you about them. Interest in other cities stays on this site and isn’t sent to MailerLite. The Events page shows only a total count of Atlanta interest, never names or answers. You can withdraw from the Events page anytime; that removes your answers here and in MailerLite and doesn’t change your newsletter subscription.
Site analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views so Justin can see which ideas people explore. It sets no cookies. Page addresses are reported without search terms or other query details. Vercel records general information such as country, browser, and device type, using a short-lived anonymous visitor hash rather than an identifier tied to your account.
Browser storage
Essential, HTTP-only cookies keep you signed in and protect the sign-in process. Your build-planning notes are saved in this browser’s local storage, not synced to your account. Reset the workbench or clear browser data to remove them. Export a copy before clearing data.
Source prototypes
Some member pages embed the original public prototype hosted on GitHub Pages. Loading one contacts GitHub’s servers. Prototypes use sample data; avoid entering private or sensitive information. Links to other sites follow those sites’ privacy practices.
Retention and requests
Sessions expire after 12 hours. Account and consent records are retained while the account is in use and as needed to honor subscription choices. You can request a copy or deletion of your account information by email.
